ELENA RICARDO

ABOUT
ABOUT

Elena Ricardo grew up with two Broadway dancers as parents and dreams of becoming an Olympic gymnast...fully intent on not following in their footsteps. And yet...
After trading leotards and chalk for costumes and makeup, Elena’s gymnastics background proved invaluable in her first professional job with the original all-star cast of Bring It On! The Musical. She went on to make her Broadway debut and first national tour with Mamma Mia, eventually becoming the final 'Sophie Sheridan' in the production’s historic 14-year Broadway run.

Following a similar trajectory, Elena joined the Beautiful: The Carole King Musical First National Tour before joining the Broadway company as the 'Carole King' understudy. After the pandemic, her once-listed “acrobat” special skill took center stage as she returned to Broadway hanging from a trapeze as the 'Marlena' Standby in Water for Elephants. She has continued her standby work on Broadway with The Great Gatsby, where she can currently be found covering the Principal roles of 'Daisy Buchanan' and 'Jordan Baker'.
Regionally, Elena has led productions at some of the country’s most respected theaters, including Alliance Theatre, Ogunquit Playhouse, Casa Mañana, North Shore Music Theatre, and North Carolina Theatre.

On screen, she has appeared on Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Amazon’s Modern Love, NBC’s New Amsterdam, and TBS’s The Last O.G.

Offstage and offscreen, Elena is a master trampoline instructor and founder of Bounce By Elena, while continuing to channel her competitive athleticism through triathlons, CrossFit, and Spartan races.
